Meet Our Naturopaths
IBCLC and Psychotherapy
IBCLCs are internationally recognised certified healthcare professionals trained in the clinical management of breastfeeding…also known as breastfeeding experts.
IBCLCs must adhere to professional standards, ensuring they provide quality breastfeeding help with mothers and their babies, and re-certify every five years.
In addition to providing mothers and healthcare professionals with evidence-based education on breastfeeding and lactation, IBCLCs are breastfeeding advocates—supporting women to achieve their breastfeeding goals. Not only can an IBCLC help you reach your personal lactation goal, but they can also assist with many breastfeeding challenges.
An IBCLC works with both the mother and baby as a dyad rather then just assessing one or the other individually.
At Mulla Mulla Therapy, we believe that providing you with an opportunity to engage with self-discovery and self-awareness, you will find a place of change, confidence and healing.
Our Mission is simple…
You lead the way in your time; we support the process.
We bring our knowledge, skills and empathy to your experience. Together we collaborate and move towards your recovery, goals and integration of experiences.
At Mulla Mulla Therapy, we are psychotherapists and mental health practitioners, and our team hold a minimum education level of Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Tamika Newman
Tamika’s philosophy is to empower women to make informed choices during their feeding journey by providing relevant information to help each individual dyad on their unique journey. Tamika is passionate about finding the source of the breastfeeding challenge and supporting families to help them thrive.
Tamika received a Bachelor of Nursing in 2004, followed by Bachelor of Midwifery in 2005. In 2010, she successfully sat her examination to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultation (IBCLC).
She remains current with latest evidence based practices by attending conferences and spending countless hours studying all things related to infant feeding, growth, sleep and development. Tamika has a special interest in oral anomalies such as tongue/lip ties and enjoys working with families to correct and establish effective feeding strategies.

Jess Whitelum
I live and work on Aboriginal land of the Kombumerri and Minjungbal peoples of the Yugambeh language region. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging and will remain forever indebted through my words and actions for the shared knowledge, wisdom and stories of country, culture, community and connection.
As a psychotherapist I am honoured to not only walk closely alongside the courageous people that come and share their stories with me, but I am also honoured to help hold, get stuck, fall down, be messy and rise up… together. As a person who has always been curious about people’s unique stories and the power of healing in relationship, I bring with me a warm, grounded, spacious and relational presence that welcomes all parts of you and you and I, into the shared space. My integrative and collaborative approach to therapy acknowledges the inter-relationship of the mind, body, spirit and how such elements intelligently respond to the external field involving humans, non-humans, community and society.
I work from and through a humanistic, trauma-informed, polyvagal, gestalt, somatic, neuroscience and attachment theory lens. This means safety, relationality and body attunement guide the direction and pace of the session.
Outside of therapeutic work, I spend a lot of my time in and amongst nature. This is where I feel most connected and at home. You will most likely find me either in the mountains or on the coast sitting, walking or running amongst trees, creeks and the ocean.
With my love for nature, combined with my personal experience of being in the client chair both online and in the therapy room, I also offer outdoor options for therapy sessions.
It is an honour and great privilege to witness the human-ness of sharing, uncovering and discovering the new, old and most vulnerable parts of self, together.
I look forward to working with you.

Jingeri, Hello and Welcome.
I live and work on Aboriginal land of the Kombumerri and Minjungbal Peoples of the Yugambeh language region. I pay my respects to the Traditional Owners of the land where I work, live, study and create space for people to heal. I acknowledge the wisdom and healing practices of those that came before me on this sacred land. I respect the elders, past, present and emerging, that continue the knowledge of the land, seas, rivers and rainforests of our Nation.
Mulla Mulla Therapy was born from a passion and purpose to provide safe and inclusive therapies to people seeking change in their life, mental health or personal development. I have dedicated much of my life to working with people who have experienced severe and persistent mental illness, trauma, and inequity. My work as a social welfare worker has led me to understand the human experience.
I am a mum of two young adult children, a wife of 25 years, a daughter and a cohabitant of a three-generation home. When my youngest daughter started ‘big school’, I started tertiary studies at 38 years old! I love spending time in the sun at the beach or listening to the soundscape of my bush home. Storytelling and deep listening have been a significant part of my family, social and working life, probably starting when I was a little girl sitting on my Nanna’s front step listening to the ladies having afternoon tea. This is where my passion for providing people with the space to explore and acknowledge their life’s journey developed.
Together we can work to make the changes you want for your life. We can collaborate and work in the direction you want to move towards to develop new skills, knowledge, consciousness and possibilities.
Primary modalities: Somatic (emotional regulation), person-centred, trauma integration, narrative, existential and humanistic.
