Founded with a passion for holistic health, Coastal Osteopathy Tugun has been dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our community since its inception. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care that respects the body’s natural ability to heal.

At Coastal Osteopathy Tugun, we believe in a patient-centered approach that supports the body’s innate wisdom.

Our commitment to excellence in care extends to all stages of life, from infancy to advanced age, with a special focus on cranial osteopathy and family health.

Our focus on Cranial Osteopathy and Paediatrics is a key point of difference from many other osteopathic clinics. While we are not limited to only Cranial Osteopathy, and use a variety of techniques according to your needs, we are one of the few clinics that take an active approach to learning, improving and working with Cranial Osteopathy.

CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY

Our clinic osteopaths have a special interest in cranial osteopathy.

This subtle, hands-on therapy is based on the principle that the body has its own natural rhythms and self-healing mechanisms – like all osteopaths believe. Instead of forceful adjustments or deep tissue pressure, cranial osteopathy uses light touch to release tension and restore balance in the body.

But does it really work? Science says yes! Studies published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association and BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies suggest that cranial osteopathy can help with migraines, stress-related disorders, and even conditions like TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction).

PAEDIATRIC OSTEOPATHY

We also have a special interest in paediatric osteopathy, which uses supportive, hands-on techniques tailoered to infant and children's unique physiology.

    NATUROPATHY AND OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONS

We enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team, including naturopaths, remedial massage therapist, homoeopath and craniosacral therapist. We also have a Brain Plasticity Trainer and a Psychologist working from our clinic.

This means you have access to a variety of professions within the same clinic and your team work together to provide the best possible outcomes.

As part of our Mutlidisciplinary approach, we provide integrated advice and care for oral function concerns, such as mouth breathing, tongue and other oral ties, breastfeeding difficulties, airway issues and facial development.

Our team includes a Lactation Consultation (IBCLC) also trained in the diagnosis of oral ties and oral myofunctional therapy. Our osteopaths have years of experience in supporting infants, children and adults with oral dysfunction for any reason, and provide hands-on treatment, advice and appropriate referrals to relevant professionals.
